1905She is an employee of the Trussell Trust, a charity which provides emergency food supplies to people in the UK who have fallen on hard times through its network of foodbanks. She was chatting to a colleague who runs the Bicester foodbank, who told her a story about a woman who had sold her wedding ring in order to buy food.

“I was so shocked when I heard that statement,” she says in her audio clip “I just couldn’t believe that anyone could get to that point, where they’d have to give up something so special to them. It’s shocking that people find themselves in that situation.”
