1288Foreign Language Friday: Kelsie Hubbard sent this in from Clearwater, Florida, USA. She wrote: “I was told this by the first boy I ever loved. He sent it to me one night in the middle of a conversation, like it was the most normal thing ever to whip out Latin in everyday conversation.

"I was in chorus all through middle and high school, so I had a vague idea of what it meant, but looked it up anyway. It means ‘You truly are amazing.’

”This was before he and I were even together, and for some reason even though we no longer speak for a multitude of reasons, I know he meant that one hundred percent when he said it, and knowing that he could think that of me makes me believe that someone else can, too.

”There are so many other things he said to me that I could talk about, but this one for some reason just stays with me.
