”I decided to join because other than attending lectures there’s nothing else to do aside from the normal societies.

”On my first day, first class, my facilitator said this to us. And we all were like: ‘What?!” Basically what it means is that you have to get off your behind.

”The phrase holds some significance to me because I was kicked on my umtarara out of the programme, because they have strict policy that you can’t skip two classes.

”Eventually I joined again in the following year, and it opened many, many, many doors for me.”
