He wrote: "Kathy and Hannah the best of friends since their nursing school days are at life's cross-roads.

"One's headed for the Peace Corps the other for the prestigious Seattle Children's Hospital. In the day, the fabled jazz musician Dizzy Gillespie said this about his good friend Charlie Parker. This missive was recently repeated to Hannah and Kathy by a friend, a witness to the truly warm hearts these two have for each other and the hard choices they must now make.
