”I told him I was from New York and he was really surprised. I asked him why and he told me this.

”He said ‘You have frizzy hair. You could be from California.’ I just thought it was funny that he wasn’t trying to insult me at all, but guys just don’t know these things.

”It made me rethink being a New Yorker, and that maybe I’m more of a California person at heart.”
