2476“In the spring of 2011 I applied for a programme that would allow me to sail the world,” Michelle says in her audio commentary.

”I was almost unable to do this programme due to lack of money. Two days before the ship sailed I was able to get a scholarship to this programme. Since then I’ve seen 20 different countries on only a few hundred dollars.

”Upon arrival, after my voyage, my aunt once told me this.

”I’ve been able to travel on a couple of dollars and a couple hundred dollars. It’s not the money you have in your wallet, it’s the experiences you make, the people you meet along the way, and the adventures that you save for the rest of your life.”
