1132 Sophie Baker sent this shot in from the north of England. She wrote: “I love the subversion of cliched advice. My mum specialised in it, and she would say this to me before I left the house for any night out or adventure, from a very young age. This is my favourite of hers, and she definitely lived by it. I try to do the same. Sometimes naughty is a good thing.

“The photo was taken in my backyard in Newcastle upon Tyne, from which there is a view of our old house, long since sold. My mum died a few years ago now, so living close to our previous home is something of a mixed blessing.”
