494This was sent in via the SOTM Flickr group by Nicole Thomas, and taken in Akron, Ohio, USA. She wrote: “One day about six years ago, I was sitting at the computer while my husband sat behind me and messed around with his camping stuff.

"At the time, he was the Scoutmaster for the local Boy Scout troop so it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. While I was wandering around the internet, I hear from behind me ‘Nikki, you make my heart sparkle.’

"I turned around in my chair at a breakneck speed and looked at my husband flush in the eyes.

"‘Awww,’ I said to him, ‘you make my heart sparkle too!’

"A confused look crept over his face. ‘What?’

"I smiled ‘I said 'You make my heart sparkle too!'

"‘What are you talking about?’ he asked.

"I paused for a minute. ‘Didn't you just tell me that I make your heart sparkle?’

"He laughed. ‘No, I asked if you had seen my hot sparker.’ Evidently, it's something used to make fires.

"Ever since that day, however, we have said to each other, ‘You make my heart sparkle’ and it's another way of saying, ‘I love you.’ Even our children tell us we make their hearts sparkle. It's kind of accidentally become our thing.”
