273Foreign Language Friday: This charming German lady said her SOTM is something said by an old friend, the result of welding together two well-known phrases to make a new, somewhat obscure one.

The two (originally German) phrases are 'You make your bed and you lie in it', and 'What you shout into the forest echoes back to you'.

So her SOTM says 'You make your bed and it echoes back to you'. She explained that "it seemed funny at first but then it takes on a whole new meaning when you think about it".
