2432“My mother was a woman of many words,” explains the excellent Victoria in her audio commentary.

“When I was seven or eight I’d had a fight with some friend of mine who was just being rude. I’d explained this to my mother, I was crying, I was really upset and she just shrugged and told me this.

”It never occurred to me that I could have that type of attitude about people being really shitty to you. She always told me as a kid and as a grown up, while she was still around, that you need to surround yourself with positive people. It’s important to be with people who lift you up.

”And anybody who’s going to treat you badly, and make you sad – ah, to hell with them.

“I still think of that every day. It’s very relevant in my life every day.”
